Writing a blog - you get a chance to self-reflect and also give input to people unknown to yourself. Very rewarding and I salute your efforts.

We are here in SEA. Two young daugthers in house, I am running an international investment company focused on Africa and my wife writes dhamma books.

Your website shows a young woman with a lot of passion and your mom and dad are so wonderful in their comments. Thank you for that experience. I have lived outside my homecountry for about 19 years and the commments from your mom and dad reminds me of my own family's comment - thanks for opening up your world like that.

Susanna, I have just finished reading Amy's wonderful blog. Your question regarding killing an insect is valid.

Dhamma has no good or bad, black or white and so on notion. "Pen chen nan eng" it is in Thai - "That's just how it is"

Another point to think about is "jetanaa" "Intention". Do you kill an insect for your pleasure or because you could not avoid it (you sat on it or your child is deadly allergic to the bite).

That is why there is no good or bad action - just right action done with Phanya (Wisdom). Loose your ego - don't think about Me, Me, Me - Mine, Mine, Mine.
You simply do your best in all your actions and what comes out of it is just a bonus - don't look at the possible payout first and then design the action to maximise the bonus

Amy - Sometimes we need to 'break' to grow back strong or just take time to heal properly. Sounds like you're doing just that. Hope you continue feeling better and better.
As someone who had no skin issues either until my 20's, I'm curious if you tried any food eliminating?
happy 2012, amber
